These are my accomplishments, where I represented my school and country.
I would not have attained these achievements without the unwavering support from educators, peers and family. With every milestone, I carry the lessons learned with me.
In November of 2016, I was among the few Singaporean students to represent the country and Temasek Polytechnic to join the JENESYS Programme (Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths), in association with National Book Council Singapore.
All accommodation, flight tickets were all handled for by the Japanese Government.
The purpose of the trip was to be exposed to the way of life and the environment in Japan and share our findings back at home. We also shared our way of life as Singaporeans to the Japanese community there. It was a fruitful and memorable trip. I am very thankful to have been a part of this journey.
JENESYS Culture Exchange Programme 2016
After the trip to Japan during the JENESYS program, I used the inspirations and influences I gathered from the trip
to write a children's eBook for the National Book Council, as part of the Asian Festival of Children's Content 2017 (AFCC).
I was the illustrator and co-author of the story. "Gaijin", tells a tale of a Western boy who fell in love with a Japanese princess. It revolves around the idea of being on foreign soil, discovering the love for both people and nature.

I am proud to be part of the initiative that had provided me with the platform to utilize my creativity and express my love for literature.

In 2016, I took part in a Communal Painting at Changi Airport. I interacted with the people and children, guiding them to paint the giant shoe at Terminal 3.
This volunteer work helps me to improve my interpersonal skills and interaction with people of different age groups and background. My design was selected and showcased by Changi Airport, in commemoration of the Euro Cup 2016.

In 2016, I volunteered to draw caricatures for the guests at Nanyang Technological University for Oktoberfest. I muster up the courage and confidence of drawing portraits in front of people and for people.
This volunteer work has helped me to improve my interpersonal skills with people, boost my confidence in interacting with unfamiliar people. It was a stepping stone for me to break the boundaries between myself and other people. This experience has definitely benefited me throughout my studies at a tertiary level.
